You may not realize it but your take on hot button, political and cultural issues is shaped by 2 theological realities. The Creator/creature distinction and a theology of the body.
Embodied holiness means recognizing the body's value and importance in the Christian faith. To embody holiness, Christians strive to think about the treat their bodies to the glory of God.
While MAHA’s accomplishments will boost health and wellbeing, they fail to explain the why behind the what. Why does it matter to eat real foods and combat chronic disease in the first place? Having the tools and knowledge to care for our bodies is great. But without knowing why we should eat well or exercise, our efforts lack a sustainable foundation. Caring for the body doesn’t matter if you don’t know why your body matters. MAHA needs a meaningful view of the body. That’s where the Christian faith comes in.
A theology of the body helps Christians understand that caring for physical health is not about perfection or control, but faithful stewardship. While the MAHA movement highlights important health concerns, Scripture alone explains why the body matters. When Christians think rightly about the body, health becomes an expression of obedience rather than obsession.

if you’re single now, it’s a calling for your present season. God, in his sovereignty and providence, could change that season tomorrow. He could change it in two years or twenty. At the same time, he may leave you and me in that season for the rest of our lives. But that’s a reality he doesn’t ask us to accept today.
Because the MAHA Movement could change the trajectory of American health, it’s important for Christians to think it through from a biblical worldview.
For these reasons and more, the church needs to know how the Bible addresses the body. Christians must affirm that the body is valuable and that God has ultimate authority over it. By standing on a biblical understanding of the body, we can build a theology of the body from Scripture. Equipped with this understanding, we can confidently address some of the most pressing issues of our day.
Christians struggling with anxiety can praise God for these creational interventions and proclaim them to others. Rather than overlooking our body’s role, we glorify God for his masterful design and embrace creational interventions as a means of enhancing human flourishing through our mind-body connection.
Ozempic and most other GLP-1s are given via weekly injections at $1,000+ a pop. And to be clear, these are weight MANAGEMENT drugs meant to produce up to “about 15% weight loss.” For their benefits to continue, you must continue taking them…indefinitely. Studies show once off them, many people regain the weight lost.
God weaves throughout our lives. He shapes day after day and year after year, one circumstance at a time. And for believers, no occurrence is ever wasted or pointless. Each one is part of the greater narrative he promises to work out for his glory and the good of those who love him.

Understand Healthy is a program anyone can implement no matter your age or limitation. You don’t have to be a Christian to do it because it’s ultimately for anyone wanting to cultivate lasting lifestyle change. That said, I did write it with a few specific contexts in mind.
