Praise God for His Creation
In the next lesson, you will learn about how God created men and women in his image. Before moving on, think about the next few verses as this first lesson comes to an end.

Praise the Lord from the heavens, praise him in the heights above. Praise him, all his angels, praise him, all his heavenly hosts. Praise him, sun and moon, praise him all you shining stars. Praise him, you highest heavens and you waters above the skies. Let them praise the name of the Lord, for he commanded and they were created. He set them in place for ever and ever; he gave a decree that will never pass away.
Praise the Lord from the earth, you great sea creatures and all ocean depths, lightning and hail, snow and clouds, stormy winds that do his bidding, you mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars, wild animals and all cattle, small creatures and flying birds, kings of the earth and all nations, you princes and all rulers on earth, young men and maidens, old men and children. Let them praise the name of the Lord for his name alone is exalted; his splendor is above the earth and the heavens.
Psalm 148:1-13
The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else.
Acts 17:24-25
In Psalm 148, notice that everything above the earth and everything on the earth was designed to praise God. All creation is called to respect and praise the Creator because he is all-powerful and separate from everything he created. As God’s creature, you are made for a relationship with him and to worship him as the glorious Creator who gave you life.

Draw a picture or form with modeling clay your favorite part of God’s creation on days 1-5. What did you draw or make, and why? Put whatever you drew or made somewhere that will remind you to praise God as your Creator each day.
